When a customer brings in a high-quality, classic men’s jacket, it will always have functional buttonholes on the cuffs. On such a blazer, it’s not possible to shorten the sleeves from the bottom, as is usually done, so we do it by cutting off the top of the sleeve.
This is a difficult job that requires a lot of experience. The photo shows one sleeve that has already been shortened, and the other one hasn’t been started yet.
As you can see, there’s no difference between factory work and our work. The customer won’t even feel or notice that we’ve altered such a complex part of the jacket — the shoulder of the sleeve.
